Kona Sutra LTD - 2020

Since I first read about the Sutra LTD in 2018 or 2019, I knew this bike would make the short list for my next ride. I don’t necessarily like owning bikes that are only really good at one thing… my trusty Cross Check is case and point. I knew I was long overdue for a bike with disc brakes (it is wet here in the PNW after all) and that riding dirt vs road was super appealing. There are a lot of ‘adventure bikes’ on the market and the definition of what the segment means has more than a few answers, but to me it’s about a solid frame, lots of options for carrying stuff, over sized tires, and gearing that gets you up the hill,, even loaded. The fact that Kona is a PNW based brand sealed the deal. I picked up a stock 56 cm complete bike from Metropolis Cycles here in Portland and can’t wait to log some serious miles.
